This was our 3rd visit to Woolacombe and our 3rd stay at Combe Cottage, and again we were not dissapointed, the weather has been absolutley fantastic, which makes the stay all the more pleasant. The owner keeps making small but subtle changes/additions like the addition of a wine cooler in the kitchen although it cost me a small fortune to fill it. Claire the house keeper arrived about an hour after we did to check all was OK which was a nice little touch. Our 2.1/2yr grandson arrived on the Tuesday along with his Mummy and Daddy so we hoped the weather would hold good, which it did. Our two Schnauzers just love it here. I'm sure we will be returning to Combe Cottage in the future. Again our thanks goes to the team at Holiday Home Hunters for making the booking process as easy and trouble free as possible. May 2018
Thanks for the lovely stay at Combe Cottage in December. We had a lovely relaxing time, in one of the most spacious properties with stunning views over the coast. The telescope looking out to see was a great feature for the kids and we enjoyed walks to Mortehoe and Putsborough from this great location. The property had everything we needed, plenty of space for the teens to chill out and the great utility area was useful for washing collie paws after a romp on the beach. The enclosed fenced area allowed easy safe access to the outside and the side access to the property was really helpful too. Thanks for all the thought that had gone in to our stay. We would love to rebook again sometime soon. December 2017
This was our second holiday at Combe Cottage and we were just as pleased the second time as we were the first, we were four adults, a 16month old baby and two small dogs. The property is equipped with all you need for a perfect stay, it has all the facilities to make it a home from home stay. The owner has removed flower beds from the front patio area and added more Rattan Furniture which is a huge improvement, the patio area is surrounded by a picket fence which made it ideal for the dogs. Woolacombe village is around a 15 min stroll away, and again plenty of places to eat and drink, and don't forget the fantastic beaches. The booking process with HHH, is so simple and efficient from booking, arrival and departure, thanks to all the team at Holiday Home Hunter for another fantastic stay at Combe Cottage and Woolacombe. Loved the cottage, views and Woolacombe, the cottage had all that was required to make it a perfect holiday home, the rooms were spacious and comfortable superb roomy kitchen with dining area and views to die for. No back garden to talk of but the front patio garden was well secure and our dogs could be let loose without any fear, loved the addition of the rattan garden furniture which was well used as we had fantastic weather. Looking forward to our return next year. September 2016
We stayed at Combe Cottage 29/7 to 5/8 .We cannot overpraise the cottage. It was exactly what the family wanted and was exactly as described in the brochure. The views from the cottage were stunning and the faciities provided first class. Many thanks for a wonderful holiday. August 2016
Hi Maddy, Sarah and Julia, just a short note to say how much we loved the stay at Combe Cottage. The house was perfect for us and the only negative which became a positive was the no mobile reception. The living accommodation was perfect for adults and children to separate and having the shower room at the back was brilliant for keeping the beach out of the house. We will definitely be back as it was such a perfect location for our requirements, close to town but far enough away to be removed from the main crowds. We had a wonderful week at Coombe Cottage. The cottage itself is beautiful, with a lovely spacious and contemporary feel. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of cutlery / crockery (often in a holiday home you just get the bare minimum). It was great to have the use of a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The addition of a separate freezer is also in my experience a bit of a luxury. The views from the cottage are just stunning. A proper "sea view". We enjoyed some amazing sunsets from the balcony, and loved watching the tide coming in to the bay. The cottage is in a great location, away from the noise of the town centre yet still in easy walking distance of the town and the main beach, and with the 2 beautiful coves just across the road. The boys loved the rockpools at Coombesgate. We didn't use the car once during the whole week. June 2015
Many thanks for a great week at Combe Cottage, Woolacombe. We had a fantastic week with our two (grown up) children and their partners and the 6 of us (+ Monty the dog) had loads of space in this lovely cottage. We have been coming to Woolacombe for nearly 30 years and this is possibly the nicest holiday home we have rented (so far!). The cottage is spacious and well equipped (although a better set of knifes in the kitchen would be good – keen chefs take note) The views over Combesgate beach from the cottage are possibly the best in Woolacombe if not the entire area. The whole booking process with Holiday Home Hunter was smooth and well managed. A minor problem with the handle on the master bedroom balcony door was swiftly sorted on day 1 with minimum of fuss. We found the cottage to be very comfortable – particularly the beds which you don’t always find with holiday rental! The utility room/shower room is so well thought out for hanging wetsuits and rinsing off sand before coming into the house – it’s always one of the hardest things to manage but this facility made it very easy. Another treat was the choice of seating areas, all with wonderfull views and comfy seating but especially the upstairs landing area, which really has the “Wow” factor. The attention to detail in this home is amazing and we have had a wonderful holiday here. October 2014
