We found our apartment to be spotlessly clean, very spacious and exceptionally well equipped,as last year. We had a great holiday. We would have no problems recommending HHH to our friends and neighbours. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will be re-booking shortly for next year. We just hope the weather will be as good! July 2018
Our third visit to Port of call in as many years, nice roomy apartment 5 minutes' walk to the centre of Morthoe and just off the NT coastal path, a great location for walkers and dog lovers alike with both the Ship Aground and Chichester pubs being dog friendly and offering good food and drink and friendly staff, both the chip shop and takeaway offer good quality takeaway food also. The apartment is well appointed with everything you could really ask for, at the rear the narrow (and secure) area is adequate for letting the dog out first thing in the morning or last thing at night. Absolutely no signal on BT or EE even outside (try under the sign on the carpark at the Chichester pub), this is either a good or bad thing depending on your viewpoint (I quite like getting off grid), the broadband isn't great speedwise but it is good enough for whatsapp calling (or other voip apps), BT obviously haven't rolled out BT infinity here! I took a chrome cast and tried streaming netflix....I found it better to download and view than stream. The guide book could do with updating as the housekeeper listed is not the correct name or number and the boiler/timer override control box is an opaque black box (that lights up if you touch the right spot), the instructions could be clearer....but really these are minor gripes and now I know how it all works wouldn't be an issue at all, Holiday Home Hunter staff (including the wrong housekeeper) couldn't have been more helpful if they tried! Just to say thank you for my stay at Port of Call, the apartment was beautifully warm and clean as always. Fantastic walks straight from the door and well set up for dogs as when I do bring my retriever, a bucket of warm water to the area outside the front door is perfect for washing off muddy paws. The apartment is very well equipped, comfortable beds and the option of shower or bath at the end of a busy day. Thanks for always being available if I do have any problems which are always sorted quickly. (Forgot key code to return key, Maddy sorted). Looking forward to returning soon. March 2017

Hello Maddy, Sarah and Julia,

Just a note to thank you for being as helpful and kind as possible during my stay at Port of Call. The apartment was beautifully warm and clean on arrival and the welcome pack was a lovely, thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated after a long journey. I always feel very well looked after when I stay with you and know the personal touch you provide really makes all the difference. November 2016

We have had a wonderful weeks holiday staying at The Port of Call in Mortehoe Devon. The apartment was very comfortable, and spacious , lovely modern kitchen, and bathroom, Comfy king size bed with ensuite wet room. It was an ideal holiday for us with our Cockapoo Eddie, lovely walks to Bull Point, and Rockham Beach in Mortehoe, and of course the beautiful setting of Woolacombe Bay We was very lucky with the weather in September lots of lovely sunshine and blue sky. We very much hope to return in the future. September 2016
Port O Call is a well equipped spacious apartment in Mortehoe near Woolacombe, we loved it, and so did our dog Pepper, the access path to the coast path and walks to Mort point, Rockham beach and Bull head and beyond is only about 50 metres from the front door. The hallway leads to a twin bedded bedroom, master bedroom with en suite wetroom, bathroom, and spacious lounge diner kitchen area, there's a narrow patio area at the rear of the apartment. The Ship aground and Chichester arms are both dog friendly pubs, and are about 5 minutes walk away as are the local store, cafe, fish & chip shop, and tea gardens....everyone was friendly and the food at both pubs was good but the Chichester arms just edged in front . If you're relatively fit and like walking then the location could not get much better, Mortehoe itself is relatively level but the access footpath to the coast path and for that matter the coast path itself is quite steep in places but also offers some stunning views, the road to Woolacombe in places is a 1:5 gradient, on the way back into Mortehoe just at the top of the incline is the Chichester arms, very well located for those who have just climbed the hill! Most places in Woolacombe are dog friendly, we particularly liked Captain Jacks, offering a traditional bar, restaurant, an eatery where you order food but also offers barista coffees, teas, hot chocolate, smoothies, as well as cakes and biscuits, and a nice beer garden....and the staff are really friendly too!
