Where do i start! AMAZING... all aspects of the apartment were prefect. From the location to the customer service from holiday home hunter. On our first day when experiencing an issue with the hot water, the issue was attended to and resolved in minutes. From the minute we entered the apartment we felt at home. Many an evening we sat on the sofa watching the sun set over the sea or after a day out we could walk the few metres to the beach to enjoy an evening swim. We are already looking to return and recommended the services to friends and family who have asked where we stayed as it looked so lovely. Thank you for an amazing accommodation for us to make lasting memories in. July 2018
We were very pleased with the apartment, compact but functional kitchen complete with dishwasher!! Comfortable beds and plenty of room to store our holiday clothes. Large living room with dining table. balcolny with bistro set overlooking the beaches. To summerise it's a lovely apartment with stunning views! June 2017
Shellsborough Penthouse provides comfortable and clean self-catering accommodation with everything you need. The views from the penthouse are super and you couldn't wish for a better location with great coastal walks and plenty of places to eat and drink. This is our second time at the Penthouse, but we have been coming to Woolacombe for many years and always have a great time. Upon arriving we were very pleased to see that this apartment had off road parking for two vehicles, it wouldn't of mattered if we had to park on the road as the road that gives access to the apartment is a private road and very quiet. We couldn't wait to get into the apartment and we weren't let down, the pictures on the website matched that of the apartment. It was very clean, spacious, lots of light and had an airy feel. There is a small balcony to sit out on, to enjoy a breakfast or evening just watching and listening to the sea, which is literally a stones throw away from the apartment. The beds were comfortable and clean, the shower in my room was plenty big enough. Lots of places to put your clothes whether you want to hang them or put them in draws. The kitchen is a little small, but you're not likely going to be cooking a banquet anyway so it wasn't a problem, everything worked and was clean, I noted that all the electrical equipment had up to date PAT test stickers on them, which told me that Holiday Home Hunter not only took care in the apartment being clean and tidy but where putting clients safety as a priority too. There was an information pack in the apartment which gave a multitude of places to visit and do not only in Woolacombe but in North Devon too, there was even a handy bus time table which we tool advantage of for traveling to Ilfracombe and Barnstaple. This was not only our first time using Holiday Home Hunter but our first visit to Woolacombe too, we were not disappointed by either, a wonderful clean place, a beautiful beach, great food and drinks to be found from pasties to quite possibly the best icecream I've had (you've got to go to Fudgies Bakehouse for both, whilst breakfasts and cream teas at the Red Barn are very good too), the Holiday Home Hunter team go above and beyond to make your holiday as good as possible. To sum up, we will be using Holiday Home Hunter again and will visit Woolacombe again too. September 2016
My family stayed in Shellsborough View from 1st-8th August this year. That was the first time we had stayed there and we would definitely choose to stay there again. Its central location and designated parking spaces make it very convenient for a family holiday. The apartment had a lovely feel to it and it was easy to feel relaxed there. Having the seaview was wonderful. We had a great time. August 2015
Hi, thanks for an enjoyable holiday we stayed at Shellsborough View (P1088) on the Esplanade in Woolacombe. The property was very clean with a leather sofa & recliner chair, the beds were comfortable & the views from the balcony and bedrooms windows were stunning. Although the kitchen was small there was plenty of kitchen utensils and equipment, the only drawback was that there was only a small freezer compartment in the fridge. The off road parking space is quite tight but the lovely neighbour who lives in the property below allowed us to park in his bigger area as we had a long car. There is also space outside on the road to park A couple of minor issues would stop me giving this property a 10 out of 10 and that is that some of it looks shabby especially the bath which has old stains and the en suite shower room has a musty smell. However everything was so spotlessly clean that these were not really an issue. If you looking for a family holiday that is a short walk to the beach and do not mind carting your holiday equipment up the stairs to the penthouse apartment I can recommend this property. The help we received from Holiday homes was also good, we initially couldn't book our first choice but was pointed to other suitable accommodation by the company. Booking and paying was quick and easy. July 2015
We had a really good week staying in this apartment. The location is perfect and the standard of the rental property is very good. The photographs give an accurate representation of the place. The standard of fixtures and fittings is good. and everything was clean and well presented. The place has a quirky layout, but this added to the charm. One books this through a letting agent. We found them to be very friendly and efficient. All communications were dealt with swiftly and the travel and arrival details were very accurate. A big thank-you to Maddy and her team. It is good to have a place with safe off-road parking in such a central location. We found this to be a good place to use as a base for walking. It was also good to be able to cross the road and get down to the beach for a spot of surfing! Our recommendations for places to visit? The Ship Aground in Mortehoe is a good place to stop off during a walk. The Red Barn in Woolacombe always provides a friendly welcome. Woolacombe Fryer is an excellent fish and chip shop. We will certainly consider this place when next looking to visit this area. April 2015
