Just returned from another wonderful week at Stepping Stones. The apartment has everything you need and is perfectly situated for the beaches and walks along the coastal path. The view from the lounge is outstanding and you can watch the surfers until late in the evening. We have already booked again for next year. June 2018
Well after phoning you and giving you 5 hours notice of our arrival, we had our holiday booked! Stepping Stones is a lovely place to stay with a brilliant view. Warm and cosy and great for dogs. If you have a large car parking could be a problem, perhaps in the busier months. Thank you Holiday Home Hunters, another lovely break away. November 2017

We would like to say thank you for the great service we received booking through yourselves and also for the lovely apartment. The views were amazing. When the tide was in it almost felt like you could touch the sea. We've stayed in Woolacombe for the past 40 years and I think Stepping Stones comes up trumps. This was the first holiday we have had with our dog Millie and she loved it too with being able to have her own little mooch around the terrace which was 100% dog friendly and completely safe. The wine and flowers were a lovely welcome too thank you. We were sad to leave but already looking forward to next year . July 2017
We really enjoyed our latest week at Stepping Stones and are looking forward to the 2 weeks we have booked at the end of August. The facilities are very good and suit us perfectly as we can safely let Hetty our Golden Retriever go outside without fear that she can stray onto the road. Its also just far enough away from the town to be generally peaceful, yet near enough to the beach and convenient for the shops when we need them. May 2017

We had also used this apartment last year and a different family stayed there this time but once again, we were all impressed by how well-equipped this place was and it made an excellent "centre" for us all to gather for family meals and barbecues, especially with the wonderful weather last week. The thoughtfulness of the owners in so many ways made us feel very welcome, and the wine and flowers were especially appreciated! We were also very grateful to you and the owners for allowing us to use the spare parking space on arrival, and fully appreciate this was an exception and not a privilege we should normally expect. Just arrived home from another wonderful holiday at Stepping Stones. It is a beautiful apartment with outstanding views, made even better by the new windows. Just back from another week at Stepping Stones, one of the best placed, best equipped and undoubtedly best presented homes from home in the repertoire. The position is great, the access to beach, walks, shops and eateries is absolutely ideal - why we keep coming back!! We have just returned from Stepping Stones, our first visit this year, 2 visits last year. Quite simply, if we are planning a visit to North Devon then Stepping Stones would be our first and only choice. It is a beautiful apartment, a real gem in a stunning location and we think it would be impossible to find somewhere of the same standard. The welcome pack on arrival is such a nice touch and you immediately feel so at home when you walk in and are met with the fragrance of a vase of fresh flowers on the table. All rooms are spotlessly clean and so very well equipped and the decor and furnishings are so tasteful. It really is true to say that once you arrive you will never want to leave. The views from the large windows are absolutely awesome and sitting on the wonderful veranda with a glass of wine, watching yet another wonderful sunset should be available on prescription, it really does wash all your cares away. A real bonus to have such a large, outside space to enjoy when weather permits. The girls at Holiday Home Hunter are very helpful if you do need to communicate with them and this goes a long way to having a happy, carefree holiday. April 2016
The best apartment we have stayed in in Woolacombe. We loved it. The view was fantastic and made us feel instantly relaxed...whatever the weather. Beautifully and generously equipped. Lovely, tasteful accessories and kind, ‘welcome’ touches. Pepa loved the proximity to the beach! Only problem for us were the beds. Both the double and the singles were ‘small’ (those staying in the 2nd bedroom said they felt the beds were ‘for children’). But the main problem for David and me was how hard the double bed mattress was. Both of us have bad backs and neither of us slept well. However, we do appreciate that the firmness of a mattress is a very personal thing. We were absolutely delighted with the apartment and hope to book again.

We've just spent 11 days at Stepping Stones, our second visit this year. The apartment and views never fail to impress and it's always hard to pack up on the last day. We have never stayed anywhere that has made us feel so at home like Stepping Stones does - we love it. Weather pretty good for late October and even the couple of wet mornings did not fail to charm - sitting idly watching the wild sea from the cosy lounge was just wonderful. It's no wonder guests keep going back for more. October 2015
Apart from the stunning views from the lounge and the proximity from the beach, the main reason we come to Stepping Stones is that there is nothing we need to bring with us. The little touches of dishwasher tablets and washing up sponges make this an easy place to come and stay - So much so, we’re looking to book again! October 2015
We've just returned from another week with Holiday Home Hunter, this time at Stepping Stones - again! Stepping Stones never ceases to satisfy - it's as close to the beach as you can get, 5 minutes from the shops, is very well equipped, immaculately maintained and has views to die for. The extensive patio/barbecue area is a major plus. October 2015
We have now returned from a wonderful holiday last week in Woolacombe and wanted to let you know how much we all enjoyed our stay in your 3 different apartments. The location and standard of accommodation was beyond our expectations and our children, especially the daughters-in-law (!) so fell in love with the place that they are already thinking of booking again for next year. Peter and I stayed in Stepping Stones which proved to be the most perfect location and everything in the flat had been so thoughtfully planned and equipped that we wanted for nothing and it all made the holiday so relaxing and enjoyable. The welcome basket and flowers, and especially the milk in the fridge, all made us feel so welcome right from the start. Please pass on our thanks to the owners, Ann and David for allowing us to enjoy the use of their lovely home there. With many thanks for all your help in arranging what was a very special holiday and return to Woolacombe after 20 years for our family. August 2015
We have just returned home following a two week stay in Stepping Stones. We loved our recent holiday in Stepping Stones. It is a comfortable, spacious apartment, with a very impressive outdoor space. The view from the apartment is absolutely fantastic and spans right across Woolacombe beach. The apartment is very well equipped. The outdoor space is an absolutely bonus, with a summerhouse, BBQ, hot shower and plenty of room to eat out and sit in the sun. It is very geared to surfing too. We absolutely loved it! August 2015
We had a wonderful stay at Stepping Stones. It is a lovely property with the most beautiful views. The apartment is well designed and equipped and is ideal for our family – 4 adults and 2 children. It was beautiful and clean and when we had a problem with the bathroom tap, it was sorted straight away with no problems. This was our second stay at Stepping Stones and we have already booked the same week for next year. Wish we were there now! We would also like to thank the staff at Holiday Home Hunter, the office staff and the housekeeper. When we come to Woolacombe, we know everything will be perfect. May/June 2015
We stayed in Stepping Stones from 17-24 April, that is myself Hilary, my husband Rod, friends Maddy and Brian and their lovely Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Jasper. Self-catering has not been our choice of holiday since the children flew the nest many years ago but given April weather can be very chancy and the fact that we wanted our friends to join us with the dog, we thought self catering would be the best option. We do know and love Woolacombe as have spent holidays there or in the surrounding area for 43 years - we had our honeymoon in Georgeham in 1972. Woolacombe is still as beautiful and unspoilt as it was all those years back. Booking online was very easy and the staff offered a very friendly and helpful service during related phone conversations. So what did we think of Stepping Stones? WOW! An absolutely beautiful apartment in a fantastic location - views just amazing, very tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped, the only noise to be heard was the sea crashing on the rocks and the occasional gull. The weather was unbelievable for April, wall to wall blue sky for the duration of the holiday. The early mornings were nippy so it was wonderful to have central heating if needed. We would have no hesitation in booking Stepping a Stones again during any month of the year as completely home from home and to be honest, to stay there during wild weather would be just as great given the location and views. Can't wait to find an opportunity to go back but given its popularity can see pretty much booked for months ahead so may have to keep this one a secret from other friends - lol. All in all a wonderful week in a fabulous place. Thank you! April 2015

Wonderful apartment, everything for a sunny day and a stormy day. We were here for the ‘hurricane’ week and looked out onto crashing waves, whilst snug and warm inside. Exceptional facilities in the apartment. Thank you we hope to come again. February 2014
